Description Abeautifulgenuine early English antique 18th Century Georgiansolid sterling silverpeppercastermost probably by thesilversmith Samuel Wood (1739-1766), and with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London1764.Excellent quality genuine 251 year oldexampleinlovelycondition, superb early Georgian shape with fine floral and scroll engraving, and with its original pierced and engraved pull-off silver lid, with spiral-twist finial. Rests on a circular pedestal base. With no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms, has a handsome period estate crest in the cartouche.
