During our research we have been informed itcertainly dates from the mid 19th century.

Dates about c1840s.

Gothic and of a black forest origin.

It was from a clearance of a church with many religious items of interest.

The panel represents one of the four apostles.

This panel was displayed in the church and was one of four similar panels.

Winged lion, a figure of courage, also represents monarchy & Jesus the Resurrection.

Relief carved, having an overall sizeof about 11.25 x 11inches.

Max depth of about 1.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall conditionis excellent and is not subject to any major blemishes.
