The items currently listed in this four-day sale are choice examples we have been saving from Important estate collections over the past year. This sale includes session one: important and fine jade and stone carvings sale, session two: fine Qing porcelains, session three: Rare Song and Ming dynasty ceramics, and the last session four: featuring a variety of Chinese art including examples from noted and highly sought after Chinese artists. This sale includes many exceptionally rare documented examples including some with Imperial provenance. We will most likely not host another sale with this volume of exceptional and rarely seen examples for many years to come.

Up for sale is a Truly Superb Chinese Carved Pure White Jade Lidded Lotus Vase. This vase is a truly superb museum quality example. The Vase is carved of a superb and perfect hu of natural untreated pure white jade that has no inclusions or color variants throughout the stone. This vase has an amazing and intricately carved Chinese Mughal lotus carved design throughout. The vase has its original perfectly fitting and perfectly matching lid surely carved from the same jade hu. The vase is extremely well carved to the interior with extremely thin walls throughout so light easily travels through the vase. The walls are carved an average of 2-3mms thick throughout the vase and the vases lid, a truly astonishing piece. In my opinion this Vase was un-doubtable carved by a top true master Imperial schooled carver. The lid is also superbly carved throughout the interior and even the top finials interior is carved so that the light consistently and beautifully shines throughout the piece as a hole. The vase could use a light cleaning but we never like to touch any pieces like this. The vase is in excellent original condition with absolutely no damage. The Vase is an incredible display piece measuring 3 1/4 inches wide, by 1 5/8 inches thick, and stands 8 inches tall. The vase is from the same important estate collection as the documented Imperial palace spinach jade box and 18th century figural ram group. The Vase would make a superb addition to any collection, and is also a very fine investment grade example.
