Rare Type 1 Eagle award on Sea Scout uniformThis sale is for a very rare Type 1 Eagle Scout award on white twill base material (for the Sea Scout white / summer uniform), used from 1925 - 1932. The only variation of Eagle Scout cloth badge that would be rare would be the 1924 WJ issue. This one was issued starting just 1 year later.This badge was unfortunately trimmed to oval prior to being sewn on the white Sea Scout (summer) uniform pictured. There are no markings inside the shirt (at all) to indicate BSA manufacture, but there is the pictured Sea Scouts BSA program strip pictured, as well as a blue on white unit numeral on the sleeve and Sea Scout \"bug\" patches on the rear flap. The Sea Scouts BSA program strip may be as early / rare as the Eagle badge, as TSPA told be they had never seen this variety of strip before.On square, this badge has a value in 4 figures -- here\'s an opportunity for someone to fill a hole in their Eagle collection for a fraction of that.The winner of this action will receive the entire uniform shirt as pictured, mailed USPS priority mail.
