Military Mahogany is proud to announce the release of our latest model, the US Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom huey. We went to great lengths to insure this model was made as accurately as possible and think we can pretty darn close. We challenge you to find a better more detailed model than this...NOONE comes close.

The UH-1Y variant modernizes the UH-1 design. Its most noticeable upgrade, as compared to previous variants, is a four-bladed, all-composite rotor system designed to withstand ballistics up to 23 mm. A 21-inch (530 mm) insert just forward of the main door has been installed for more capacity. The UH-1Y has upgraded engines and transmission, 170% increased payload over UH-1N, almost 50% greater range and maximum speed, a digital cockpit with flat panel multifunctional displays, and an 84% parts commonality with the AH-1Z.On 8 August 2008, the Marine Corps certified the UH-1Y as operationally capable and was deployed for the first time in January 2009 as part of the aviation combat element of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The Marine Corps plans to eventually buy 123 of the Y-model Hueys to replace their inventory of N-models, with delivery of all aircraft to be complete by 2016.The only operator of the UH-1Y is the United States Marine Corps.

This is not some cheap wood toy, each model takes an average of 18 hrs to complete and is coated with 3 coats of polyurethane for a super high gloss finish. You will not find a better more detailed model than this.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and will do what we can to make sure your experience is as pleasant as possible. Shipping a hand carved model is no easy assignment. We open and inspect each model prior to shipping for defects, broken or missing pieces. Every model is double boxed and wrapped for added protection. While in most cases nothing is broken during shipping, occasionally it does happen. Most repairs can easily be fixed with a bit of SUPER GLUE, it dries clear and strong. If a model is damaged beyond reasonable repair a claim will be filed with UPS by us and we will either send you a replacement model or issue a refund. In the unlikely event that your model needs to be returned, please e-mail for an RMA number. After you have received an RMA number, you will receive instructions and an authorization to return the product. Once returned we will send a free replacement after inspection. Please note, the buyer is responsible for shipping back to us.
