These hats are in high demand, exceeding rare (most did not survive) and usually found in private collections or museums. This slouch hat is no exception; the hat is complete with its original Australian WW2 cap badge, and is maker marked, dated and has the soldiers identification number in it! The hat is interior dated 1941 with the the original makers mark, and the soldiers number (either \"15024\" or 150241) . The only issue with the slouch hat is that part of the hook clamping the hat flap up has fallen off, however this can easily be replaced ( I have chosen to leave it as it is and leave it up to the winner.)
