Hello fellow ers I was told by another fellow er that this buckle was made up by him wth original parts about 15 years ago, not sure about that but I am posting it anyway. This buckle came with the other 3 civil war items I have up for sale now and I can guarantee these to be 100% original & Estate Fresh. I have been dealing in military for over 40 + years. As for the buckle with the Texas star I have for sale now, I never owned one before, nor have I ever seen one before, other than in reference books; Plates and Buckles of American Military 1795 1874 by Sydney c kerksis pg 218, and another reference is American Military Belt Plates by Michael J. O’Donnell and J, Duncan Campbell pg 413. However if it’s a made up one like the er is saying, I will refund without any question. Looks pretty real to me, you be the judge.
