Up for sale is an early brass trade token. The obverse reads, \"CHAS. PICK & CO. CHICAGO\". The reverse reads, \"GOOD FOR 1 TRIP ALMY EXPRESS\". The token measures about 15/16 inches in diameter.

I am not a token dealer or knowledgeable in token grading. With that being said, the token has been circulated and does show age. Please review the photos thoroughly and judge condition for yourself.

I attempted to research the Almy Express without success. However, I was able to find some information about the company that produced the token.

The Charles Pick Company of Chicago was a supplier of bar and dining room supplies. They produced tokens for their customers and used the tokens to advertise both their and their customer’s businesses.The Company sometimes provided up to 1,250 tokens for free to establishments that purchased supplies (such as cutlery, drinking glasses, plates, crockery, etc) from them as a bonus.Pick tokens are known to exist fromall over the USA and parts of Canada.
