Bass trombone made by Vincent Bach, this is a professional level Stradivarius \'50BL\' model. Serial number on slide 780** would date it from the late 1980\'s according to the Bach website. This model is no longer in production but seems to be the same as the current 50B3LO. Specs are: Key: Bb/F/Gb open wrap with double in-line independent rotor valves, large bore (0.562\"), Bell: yellow brass 10.5\" inches, Finish: gold lacquer. In my opinion this instrument is in average playing and average cosmetic condition but in full working order. The lacquer finish is mostly intact but some wear and scratching especially in the contact points. There are a few minor knock marks/dings on the bell flare and evidence of previous marks being rolled out but no large dents or damage to affect the playability. There are no dents/dings to the ends of the tuning slides and they are moving freely. The rotor valves are moving well a little noisy but repairer said this is normal. Slide is moving smoothly and does not catch, the inner stockings of the slide do not have any wear. The bottom slide bow has been resoldered back on at some point along with one of the rotor attachments but solid now. Comes complete with the original Bach hard case which is tatty but functions with working handles/catches. No mouthpiece included. Considering a new 50B3LO is over £4000 and excellent buy for someone to improve cosmetically or a cheap professional instrument for someone not bothered by appearance.I have tried to describe the instrument as honestly as possible and havetaken lots of pictures from all angles so please have a good look at them, if you require any further pictures orinformationjust ask.
