20 Inch Madame Alexander Brunette Cissy Doll in Sheer Green Dress Outfit with
Madame Alexnder Circa 1955-59. Hard plastic body with softer vinyl arms. Made in USA. Approx. 20” tall.
This 20 inch fashion doll is fresh from a New England estate. I am not a regular dealer or collector of Madame Alexander dolls but all of the toys and dolls in this estate were from the 1950s and I believe she and all of her clothing are original to that period. This is the outfit she was found in, which has a “Cissy by Madame Alexander” label on the inside skirt of her dress, I believe this outfit is simply known as the “Sheer Green”. I welcome any comments or questions.
This doll has curly brunette rooted hair and dark brown sleep eyes with brown lashes and painted eyebrows. Her lips are red and she has a pearl necklace with matching earrings and an emerald green stone metal ring. She is dressed in a sheer green one piece dress with lace trim and puffy sleeves. She has a matching half slip and lace trimmed panties with tan fashion stockings with seams. She is wearing a lace hat with flowers and ribbon and her dress is belted by a pink ribbon with flowers (look like roses). Her shoes are open black plastic with felt innersoles and elastic straps (loose and somewhat stretched from age). Her clothes appear all original and are in very good condition. The ribbons and flowers have some wrinkles and flattening from age and storage but no tears or stains. Her clothes have no holes, rips, rot or stains. There is no musty or moldy smell and no sign of moth damage. Her body is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. Her arms bend at the elbows and her legs are also partly jointed at the knees. Her head turns and moves up and down. All arms, legs and head are firmly attached.
She is presented here in as found condition. She needs a new home and some TLC.
