Offered here is an original, vintage 1966 Remco Lost in Space battery operated B-9 robot. We are selling this on behalf of a customer of ours who has owned this piece since he was a kid. On the plus side, the robot lights up (with flashing action) and runs. This is due in no small part because of a nifty little repair that the owner did, replacing a missing battery contact using aluminum foil. He also fashioned a replacement bar to hold the batteries in place, but the original bar with one of it's tabs broken off is still present. It also still has his little pincher claws/hands on the end of his arms and his arms move just fine when you move the levers on his back. A couple of minus points to mention are that it doesn't have the stickers on either side of his wheel housing, and the clear piece on top has been glued back together (and it looks like a kid did it) and is missing the piece that should go inside of it. Because it was obviously repaired, it doesn't really attach to the top of his head. It just kind of sits there, but doesn't fall off or anything like that when he's rolling along.. That being said, it's still kind of a fun, working example of one of the few toys that came out during the original run of the show.
