We are offering a Vintage 1970 Ideal Zeroid ZEMO - In Working Condition.
This item is from 1970 and was made in Japan by the Ideal Toy Company. This Zeroid is ZEMO and is a rarest of all Zeroids besides the ZEM XXI. This robot is in excellent working condition. The only issue is that it is missing the 2 front headlights as can be seen in picture 1. Someone should be able to find 2 headlights either on or through other secondary market sources.
We are providing several pictures of the robot and its box. The box is not in perfect condition: part of the top is missing as seen in picture 6 and a piece of the word ROBOT is missing as seen in picture 7. The bottom of the box has a piece of clear scotch tape over theoriginaltape that was placed by the manufacturer.
The body is in great condition and the treads are still functional after 44+ years. The motor works well and the robot moves forward and backwards as we tested it with 2 x AA batteries. The battery compartment is in excellent condition as you can see in picture 5.
This is truly a great addition for a serious Zeroid or Japanese Robot collector.
An interesting fact about ZEMO is that his clock on the right side of the base (you can see it on picture 5) reads 5 minutes to 6 where the other Zeroids read 5 minutes past 6.
