This is rare none dug button like the Confederate Old English A button. It is a large coat button that measures 28.74 mm. It is not listed in Tice or Albert\'s. It has a SCOVILL MF\'G CO, WATERBURY. rmdc back mark. According to Tice this back mark was made in the 1850 - 1860. The button does not have any dings or pushes ,it is a two-piece low convex button. I\'ve been hunting relics sense the mid 70\'s and I have never seen one like this. I don\'t believe there is many of these out there so if you want a button that is very rare this one is for you.
