This is a vintage (c1950s) Favilla U2 soprano ukulele and it is in very nice condition. There are a few scratches and small dings (see pics). The front, back, sides and neck are all solid mahogany. The original friction tuners are in good shape with some light oxidation on the post ferrules. The vintage style bridge has the rosewood saddle insert. The lower bout is 6 & 1/2inches, the nut is 1 & 5/16inchesand the fingerboard has 12 frets. There are inlaid fret markers at 5, 7 and 10. This style is very similar to the Martin \"0\". It is strung with the new and innovative Aquila \"bionylon\" strings. Thepeg-headhas the Favilla crest and stamped on the back and visible through the sound hole is:
