This sale is for one vintage 1938 Hammond BC organ. This is the organ that became the B3 in later years. I\'m selling this Hammond for a friend of mine that is clearing out some gear from his studio. A local band traded the organ to him for recording sessions. The band that traded it used it in their live shows, so it\'s no show piece. It was working 12 years ago when he got it. He intended to find a Leslie to pair up with it and use it asback line in his studio. Unfortunately, he never got around to buying a Leslie and the organ sat unused in storage for those 12 years. Needless to say, he stilldoesn\'t have a Leslie, so we can\'t test for sound, but the tone wheel spins with no problems. You can see the organ\'s tone wheel spinning in the YouTube video below. There are several aftermarket things added to this organ including \"Organ Mate\", \"Versatone Footmate\", and it\'s set up for a Leslie. We have no idea if any of these options are working. With that being said this organ is being sold \"as-is\" for parts or repair. Cosmetically, the wood has scratches, nicks, dents, and a crack on it\'s left front leg that has been glued back together (see pictures). The factory black paint below the keys has rust. There is agiant ring stain on the top of the organ that is only visible when the organ is closed (see pictures). The rubber on the wooden expression pedal is worn away to the wood from 70+ years of use. There are no bass pedals, no bench, and the music rack/holder is missing.
