Let me start off by saying I know pretty much nothing about this cannon I purchased it from an estate sale. I was told it might be a black powder cannon. I have no idea. I do know its very old.I took a lot of pictures so you can decide for yourself.I can tell you it is very well made and very heavy.It measures 8 5/8\" by 4 1/2\" on the oak board it is screwed to.The cannon itself measures roughly 8\" by 3\". A pin locks the 5\" muzzle in place. It weighs 3lbs 4 oz and the board feels light so mostly cannon weight. Everything looks to be in good order as far as I can tell.
