This sale is for a fine, vintage Hip Flask with topfittings and base cup in Silver Plate and a glass body part clad in SnakeskinLeather. It is approximately 5 ½” or 138mm high, 3 ½” or 88mm wide and 1 ¼” or32mm front to back, the capacity is 6 fluid ounces and the overall weight is319 grams. The Silver Plate is in fine condition with no worn areas, it is verywell polished and not scratched there are no dents or splits and just a coupleof tiny surface blemishes not easy to spot. The top is hinged and is a twistlock fitting it has an inner cork which gives a good seal making the flaskwatertight, there is some gilding to the neck piece and under the top. The basecup is a good snug fit on the glass, the inside is clean and has a pale giltfinish, under the base is stamped Made in Sheffield England with a trade markof a bird holding a letter and the word Dispatch, it is also marked with thecapacity 6oz. The glass is sound with no cracks or chips and looks quite clean,the snakeskin leather is in lovely condition with no damage, it has a goodpatina and there are sight openings to check the level of the contents.
