Vintage Tinplate Battery Op Busy Secretary Toy, Linemar, Japan. A nice vintage tinplate battery operated Busy Secretarytoy, with a female Secretary sat at her desk typing, made by the Linemar (Marx) Co. of Japan in the 1950\'s.The toy is in good to very good used condition – the tinplatebody, desk and typewriter are all clean, as is the battery box. When switched on, the toy mainly works well – the Secretarymoves her arms and hands as if typing, the paper appearsfrom the top of the typewriter until the machine rings and the paper disappears inside before it again comes from the top of the machine. The typewriter keyboard also lights up. The Secretary should also turns her head slightly to the left end right as if reading the letter, but the head is a bit loose so this does not work.The toy measures 7.5 inches long by 6.25 wide and 7.5 inches tall and is marked with “Made in Japan” on the back of the chair. A nice vintage tinplate battery operated Busy Secretary
toy, with a female Secretary sat at her desk typing,
made by the Linemar (Marx) Co. of Japan in the 1950\'s.
The toy is in good to very good used condition – the tinplate
body, desk and typewriter are all clean, as is the battery box.
When switched on, the toy mainly works well – the Secretary
moves her arms and hands as if typing, the paper appears
from the top of the typewriter until the machine rings and
the paper disappears inside before it again comes from
the top of the machine. The typewriter keyboard also
lights up. The Secretary should also turns her head
slightly to the left end right as if reading the letter,

The toy measures 7.5 inches long by 6.25 wide and 7.5
