Vintage DenimThis sale is for an absolutely amazing and very rare set of vintage denim. The set was owned by a World War II veteran and he was issued these jeans and the shirt back in the early part of the war – probably 1942. Both the jeans and the shirt have official US Army metallic buttons except the shirt is missing one. The shirt has long pockets and only buttons half way down. The jeans are rather large for the 1940s and they have a nice, long button fly because pants were worn higher on the waist. The set is in excellent condition but needs a MAJOR cleaning because they have been in an attic for 60 years. No staining but maybe some light wear – kind of the perfect amount of wear. The waist on the pants measures about 38" in circumference and the shirt is about 19½" wide across the shoulders. The shirt did have labels but they have since been lost. Great set and guaranteed old!
