Original Vintage Catalina Island Pottery Coffee Carafe & 9 Demitasse Cups/Mugs. This art pottery set is in fine condition with no cracks, chips, repairs or crazing. The yellow carafe appears deeper in color in the photos taken with a flash, but it is actually the lighter yellow. The carafe has 5 tiny glaze pops, shown in the second to last photo & the copper neck band has some discoloration. One of the blue & one of the red-orange mugs has some roughness on the bottom that probably happened during production, shown in the last photo. The pitcher lid is included & it\'s in fine condition. They are all marked on the bottom: Catalina, dating them from the late 1920\'s to 1930\'s. The yellow carafe is a beautiful Catalina modernist design with a dark contrasting wood handle attached by a copper neck band. There\'s 9 demitasse cups including: 2 Catalina matte blue, 2 red-orange, 1 yellow, 1 mustard, 1 cream, 1 turquoise blue & 1 matte green. The 2 blue mugs & the one green mug are thinner & have a matte glaze, while the others have a shiny glaze. The coffee carafe measures 8 1/2\" high & 10\" wide, including the handle. The demitasse cups are 2 5/8\" high, 2 1/2\" across the top & 1 3/4\" across the bottom base. It is an amazing set of vintage California colorware dinnerware that includes all the bright colors that Catalina Island Clay Products was known for. This coffee carafe & mugs will stun your guests with it\'s beauty whether you fill it with coffee, mint tea, hot chocolate, or simply display it on a shelf with your other Catalina pottery.
