Vogue Strung Ginny 1951 Tiny Miss Series #42 Glad Absolutely Stunning Doll MIB
Price: US $1400.00

Glad (1951) #42 of the Tiny Miss series is a beautiful blonde, blue eyed, painted lash, strung Ginny doll. She is wearing a pink dress with pink satin ribbons, blue undies, blue felt bonnet trimmed with flowers, pink socks and blue center snap oil cloth shoes. The bonnet is pinned down in front. She comes with her original pink Vogue box and neck liner. The box label which has yellowed from age designates her as #42 Glad Blonde Blue. Someone wrote \"Goldilocks\" on one end of her box. Please note, I could not find a tag on her dress, but it is most definitely the original Vogue dress she came in. It can be seen on page 96 of the Collector Encyclopedia of Vogue dolls by Judith Izen and Carol Stover. This MIB doll was stashed away with many others in a chest for many years by the original owner. She has beautiful cheek color. Her wig is in the original style. There is some wig glue visible on the left outer edge of her face as well as some on the right side on her hair. A see a tiny black speck on her left cheek blush area. The right side of her neck has a blue mark and there is another one on her chest. I haven\'t tried to clean any of these marks. Her eyes open and close but do like to stick. She is originally strung, but is loose from the original elastic stretching out. There are no guarantees that the elastic won\'t soon break, so she may need to be restrung by the next owner. I don\'t think you will be disappointed with this doll. She is truly a treasure!
