Here is a real nice antique brass torch. This type of torches were used by railroads and firemen for lighting the boilers on a railroad engine or an early steam-powered fire engine. They were also used for signaling. Stands 13 inches tall without the wick. Base is 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Only marking I can found are \"533\" stamped on the bottom and around the edge of one of the rings. Torch is in very nice condition. No dents, no cracks. Great aged patina on the brass or could be polished to a nice shine. A great addition to your collection.
