Waterman Hundred Year pen, circa 1940s, in black celluloid with gold filled trim. This is the full sized Hundred Year pen, slightly thinner than the oversized \'Supersize\' pen. It comes with the big 17-size nib, about the same size as the 7 nib on the Number Seven Ripple pens of the 1920s. This is an excellent example, showing very little wear, with a nice clear cap imprint and crisp corners at the top of the cap on either side of the clip (an area prone to wear or chipping).

The nib is a very versatile one, good for everyday yet capable of calligraphic writing. With no pressure it\'s about a medium point, and with pressure added, the downstrokes can get very wide, probably around 2mm. See the writing samples. It\'s flexible, but not overly so, and probably just short of what you might call a wet noodle. Really nice.

Lever filler, restored and working with a new sac installed. Length is about 5 1/8 inches.
