Western Maryland Railway Company Tall Lantern with Clear Cast Globe.

Double guard wire lantern is strongly marked WM Ry Co in large letters on the shoulder of the lid . . . in the classic large Star Headlight lettering that adds so much appeal to a lantern.

Top ofchimney Has Star maker\'s marks and shoulder of lid has railroad applied property number as shown.

Frame is in very condition. Hasoverall even surface etching as shown, typical for a lantern of this age. Does not sit perfectly flat on base wire . . . has a bit of a wobble.

Comes complete with correct (noteunique contour with flat edge on font top) insert font and brass burner.

Clear 5 3/8\" globe has W.M. Ry. strongly cast in 1/2\" tall letters on a square ended panel. Globe is in excellent condition with a few bubbles and swirls that nicely attest to its age.
