Here is a vintagelate 1940s or early 1950s8 1/2foot3 piece1 tip bamboo flyrod from Wright & McGill, who bought Granger Rod Company in 1946.The rod is the Granger Victory, model GV8642. Itis an example ofpost-WWII rod making. It iswrappedin originalblack and orange Jaspertipped inblack, with theup-lock Granger patentedreel seat, a very attractive combination. The condition otherwise is very good-- rodis solid with the beautifulcaramel brown color typical of W & M bamboo, and clear stampings on the shaft. Due to the flaw, no returns will be accepted on this rod, so please be certain you want the rod prior to offerding.Good offerding!!
