Very good condition and guaranteed original WWI US Armycavalry M1912 experimental shovel blade that was designed to use the picket pinhas a handle. Shovel has original black paint showing some wear and handlingmarks. Complete with split key on a chain, this was designed to attach to thepicket pin. Comes with an original M1910 style cover that is in excellentcondition. Clearly maker marked N.B.Co. and dated 1917. Front has a nice clearU.S. stamp and is unit marked to E Troop of the 302nd Cavalry. Coveris super clean with no damage and is complete with belt hook, and securingstrap and buckle. A rare experimental cavalry shovel that will make anexcellent addition to your collection.
