- I cannot determine to the health of her PSU with a PSU tester due to its custom rails using 11-12V. All I can say about is that no PSU-related issues were found during testing. Do not connect the proprietary PSU to any standard ATX motherboard for any reason. You will kill it the second power is applied.
- The P5000 Mobile micro-throttles regardless of load. I do not know what causes this behavior.
- I accidentally broke one of the screws on the GPU heatsink mount. To minimize uneven mounting pressure, Kapton tape has been used to the secure the heatsink to the card.
- The included HP keyboard is missing the feet that would have allowed it to rest on a slight incline.
- For some reason, Steam and its games are limited to utilizing four CPU cores on this system, crippling gaming performance on any game that is slightly CPU-intensive. I don't know what causes this. The only fix for this problem is to use the taskset command in "Set Launch Options" to allow Steam games to utilize more than four cores.
- Due to a recent influx of malicious packages in the AUR repository, AUR package managers such as yay has been omitted for improved security. Use the AUR at your own risk.
- Blu-ray playback on PC without resorting to ripping the disc with MakeMKV or purchasing a license for a video player with Blu-ray support is somewhat difficult due to the AACS (Advanced Access Content System) encryption nonsense that format uses. Several libraries and a key database are needed for video players such as VLC, which omit those files for legal purposes, to playback those discs. For your convenience, those files will be installed by yours truly and VLC will be set to skip the interactive menus due to compatibility problems with newer versions of Java (it’s used for making the fancy interactive menus on that format).
