Datatry is a great way to get blank working floppy disks for systems that use older Double Density disks (aka 1MB, 720kb, 800kb, 880kb) that will work in your classic computer or disk-based device.
High Density (1.44Mb) disks are still fairly available both used and new. It's common to put tape over the sense hole of an HD disk and "format down" to use these disks on older Double Density drives like those found in Atari, Commodore-Amiga, Tandy and IBM PC clones and early Macs. Unfortunately this has never been completely reliable as the magnetic media used in those disks is fundamentally a little different. If the HD disk had been previously used or even if came from the manufacturer pre-formatted as a 1.44Mb disk, your double density drive may struggle to cleanly overwrite this magnetic flux leading to reliability problems in the future.
The solution is Datatry!These are Double Density disks formerly used in industrial facilities and stored in climate controlled environments. We format and integrity test them on greaseweazle hardware, inspect the surface for imperfections, inspect the case and shutter, clean and remove prior disk labels and bundle them in 10-pack boxes just like the old days.
The disks come boxed as seen in the photos. Due to the scale of production they may have one of three common disk formats so you should reformat them with your own hardware before using.
There may be some variation of branding on the shutter, slight disk shell color variations, slight sticker or marker residue, sticker tackiness or very minor blemishing but overall condition of each disk will be very good and suitable for whatever labels you wish to apply.
