INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Strip off the jacket of the network cable about 5-7cm.

Separate the wires.

The lid can be easily opened by gently pressing both sides of the box.

Put the wires into the corresponding holes according to the wire diagram.

Place the network cable on the metal plate for holding the cable.

Use 110 or Krone punchdown tool to impact wire and cut off needless wire edge.

Fix the box at any wall-mountable location with screws or double-stick mounting tape.

Close the lid and installation is complete.

I really like the fact that the front comes out of the enclosure so you can insert the keystone jack and then simply slide it back in. This is so much better than other products which don't have the ability.

I've deducted one star from the overall rating though because of one issue that wasn't thought out. The top rear cover of the enclosure is flawed -- at least for fiber optic patch cables. The cover has a rectangular opening to accommodate the bottom of the case and the bottom of the case come up and has a semicircle opening. The top has a rectangular opening semi circle at the top to form an elongated oval when shut to the bottom. The opening is not wide enough to fit a duplex fiber cable in when closed. Luckily though the plastic is not prone to cracking and is easy to work with so was able to take a hacksaw to it and modify the hole to fit while still maintaining the original appearance.

Aside from that one issue, I love these things. They seem to stick well and obviously they could be screwed down if that wasn't the case. They're much easier to work with than low voltage 1 gang boxes and their killer feature to me is that the fittings in front for the keystone are removable so you can attach to the keystone, work with your cabling, and then easily slide it into the enclosure. I still shutter when I think of the issues I had with RG6 keystones popping out of faceplates or trying to get cables properly attached without that happening. I'd definitely buy these again even if they required some modification for my use.

I mistakenly wired it up for T-568A and it failed my testing with a cable tester because the other end was wires as T-568B. I then thought the diagram was wrong. Since the Blue-White and Brown-White pair are in the same positions for both, I inserted those pairs then wire by wire attached single wires to discover the T-568B diagram is correct. It was my mistake using the wrong diagram. The only advice I would give is drill an additional mounting hole in the back piece diagonally from one of the mounting holes on the RJ-45 end, and use it as well as one hole on the RJ-45 end. (Just my opinion)
