If you look up the British word \"Tetchy\" you will find a very concise definition: \"bad-tempered and irritable.\" Today, the cell phone buy back industry is ripe with competitors that are offering a sub par experience that often leads to disappointment. The stories we hear (and we\'re guessing the ones you hear too) have an unfortunate similarity. People are promised one price, only to have that price reduced when their device is received, examined, and graded on a very subjective scale. A price is offered to the seller based on a vague definition of \"good\" that probably can\'t be met, and then the seller is forced to either accept a lower price or have the device returned to them and start over again. This practice is done at the expense of you, the consumer, and benefits no one except the company\'s bottom line leaving you in a rather tetchy mood. We realized that in order to provide a service that will keep you coming back, we would have to do things differently, something above and beyond the current status quo in the industry.
Tetchy Tech was officially launched in January 2015 with a simple three part mission:

Terms: We attempt to describe each item we sell as accurately as possible. Occasionally there may be issues or problems with a device that we may have missed during our testing process. Please contact us if you feel that the item you received was not accurately described and we will be happy to assist you.
No SIM card Included: We are not a carrier, and therefore we don\'t include any SIM cards with the items we sell. Oftentimes, the devices we sell are able to be activated on multiple different carriers, and therefore it is your responsibility to contact the carrier of your choice to receive a SIM card that is compatible with your device.
Accessories: Any accessories that are included will be stated above in the listing. Charging cables and other accessories included may be generic and not OEM, unless specifically style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">
Activating Your Device
Carrier locked: Items are ready to activate and use only on the carrier stated in the listing unless otherwise noted. We do not provide carrier unlock services and cannot carrier unlock a device before shipping it, nor are we able to provide any guarantee that a carrier locked device purchased from us is able to be unlocked.
Clean ESN/IMEI: All phones have a unique identification number called the ESN/IMEI that is used to activate your phone with your network plan. We ensure that this number is clean, has not been reported as lost or stolen, and is not currently in use on someone else\'s plan.
Not iCloud locked: Similar to how a username and password is required to access a locked computer, if a phone is iCloud locked then it will require a username and password from the previous owner in order to activate the phone. Without this information it will not activate, and so we guarantee that any device we sell will not be iCloud locked.
Not Financed: When the previous owner of a phone decides to give it up, the network that that phone is activated on will sometimes place a financed lock on the phone. This means that the phone cannot be activated until the previous owner\'s service plan is completed and paid off. We ensure that all of our phones are not financed by any carriers.

Payments:We accept all major credit cards and e-checks through PayPal. Immediate payment is required on all of our items at the time of checkout. To purchase multiple items, simply add each different item to your cart and check out all at once.
Sales tax:Due to new sales tax legislation, you may be charged sales tax by depending on your location and your current state laws. We cannot change or alter the amount of tax you are charged, as it is entirely controlled and collected by .
International sales:Buyers with a shipping address outside of the United States will be assessed taxes, duties, or import charges on their purchase depending on their country\'s import laws. By purchasing an item from us, you understand that you are solely responsible for these additional charges. Tetchy Tech will not be held responsible to reimburse the buyer of any such expenses imposed. Furthermore, Tetchy Tech will not falsify the value of an item on a customs document and a buyer\'s request to do so will be ignored. Please check with your country\'s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing an item from us.
Shipping:All orders are processed and shipped within 1 business day of cleared payment. However, most orders will be shipped out the same day that they\'re ordered. Our default shipping and handling is via USPS first class mail which typically takes 3 to 5 business days, with expedited options and international options available for a small additional cost. We reserve the right to require a signature and/or upgrade your shipping service/carrier based on the order total or number of devices ordered.

Returns: We back our products with a 30-day money-back return policy. If you are dissatisfied with an item you may return it in its original condition for a full refund within a 30-day period from the date of delivery. The serial number/IMEI on the returned device must match the device that was shipped or no refund will be issued. We cannot accept returns that have been repaired, altered, or damaged in any way. Unauthorized returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fee or will be returned to the buyer at our sole discretion. If you need to return an item please send us a message and we will provide return details.
