Item & Cable Details
If you own an Alienware Area-51 R1 desktop PC (2009-11) you're buying an assortment of new unused & nice used Bitfenix Alchemy 2.0 +1.0 sleeved power supply cables meant for *CORSAIR TYPE 4PSU models only*. Your set includes the factory & custom cables below
9" (23cm 16g) AlienFX MI/O Led Fan Vents Board cable is included:
Hand-made matching red MIO 10pin cable so your Fan-LED daughterboard works after your power supply swap:
  • (x9) 3V 5V 12V Ground to your MIO board is supplied from the PSU panel's 6p + 8p ports
  • (x1) 5Volts Standby circuit is supplied via the shared 4p with the 24p ATX cable
Pro Tip: When buying a PSU, be sure it has enough available ports to power the MIO 6p + 8p while also having enough leftover ports for all your other hardware needs (& see online pics & reviews of your candidate PSU before buying one)
Main PSU CablesSome cables arrive new never used, some were gently used while others were handled simply for mods & upgrades:

Power Supply & Cable CompatibilitySee or Google "Cablemod Compatibility Chart" > find & expand the Corsair section & choose any model or wattage named "C-Series Type 4" (preferably 850watts & higher works out best in your R1). This cable set can not work w/ any other brand ...Corsair Type 4 ONLY
--> 12V2x6 / 12VHPWR NVIDIA TYPE VGA-GPU CABLE ***NOT*** INCLUDED <--Bitfenix Alchemy 2.0 never included a matching 12V 2×6 12V HPWR cable (for Nvidia 40-50 Series GRFX cards) but you can likely buy a near-matching one separate at the Cablemod store (& sometimes found here on ). If your new power supply has a native 12V 2×6 12V HPWR port you can look for a "16pin to 16pin" & if not then look for a "dual" or "triple" 8pin to 16pin.Tip: Google = "CableMod Pro ModMesh 12V-2×6 12VHPWR StealthSense PCI-e Cable" (choose your type & color)

About MeYou'll often find my work help tips & advice through online searches which direct you to the Dellware & Redditware Forums I've posted in as the long-time member Cass-Olé & KnightFury. I began hand-making A51 R1 MIO 10pin PSU swap cables back in 2013 for myself & later for others & have helped over 100 owners (+ about ~15 XPS 730 owners) eversince. I've put my hands on over 20 boxes of sleeved Cablemod & Bitfenix & other pouched cables as full sets for myself & for others. I own six Area-51 R1 cases, each of my Aliens has had an aftermarket retail PSU swap & a dozen sets of sleeved custom cables in various colors were made along the way for them. I have my own tools, new materials & supplies & have the pinouts & wiring diagrams for all modular PSUs I've built harnesses for.
For photo examples of my work, Google (Image) search = The ALX Files: On a Practical Approach to the Area-51 R1 PSU Swap
Basic PSU Swap AdviceAs you work your way toward the idea of changing out your old PSU, be advised the new one will mount fan face-up, the slide out rear PSU caddy fits all standard ATX models, but your rear black honey-comb trim plate must be modded to encompass larger plugs and power on-off switches when needed (if you don't wish to mod your rear black psu trim in order to accomodate the new rear switch & plug, it's ok to simply not install & box it up)
In my experience, the wattage which affords the MIO board an open 6p + 8p port & still enough ports left for all your other hardware needs is 850watts minimum, while higher 1000w+ models tend to provide even more ports, so choose a PSU that has enough ports for not only your hardware needs now but what your future needs might be also
