For sale is an Apple Macintosh PowerBook Duo MiniDock, model M7780.
This is the compact docking station for the PowerBook Duo series, including models such as the PowerBook Duo 210, 230, 250, 270c, 280, and 280c. It connects to the rear docking connector on the PowerBook Duo and adds a useful set of classic Macintosh ports in a much smaller form factor than the full Duo Dock.
The MiniDock provides classic Macintosh I/O including HDI-30 SCSI, DB-15 video output, ADB, two Mini DIN-8 serial ports, HDI-20 external floppy port, audio input/output, and modem pass-through. It is useful for connecting a Duo to external displays, ADB keyboards/mice, serial devices, external SCSI devices, and other period-correct Macintosh accessories.
Please note the condition carefully: the hinge / latch mechanism is damaged. The docking cover section does not move or latch normally, and part of the internal hinge mechanism is visibly broken. This is a mechanical issue only and did not affect functionality during testing. Please review the close-up photos carefully.
As is common with early 1990s Apple rubber parts, the original rubber feet show age-related softness / gumminess. This is typical for this model and can be cleaned or replaced depending on preference.
Condition is used vintage condition with normal age-related marks, scuffs, discoloration, and wear. Please review all photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition and included item.
