This 366Mhz machine is maxed out with 576MB of RAM and upgraded with a brand new HUGE 128GB SSD conversion making this machine significantly faster than the day it was purchased! The thermal paste has been replaced and the boards and fans have been dusted out. The shell has been cleaned and polished. This is the absolute best vintage computer time capsule you will find on . The machine is pure 90s early 2000s era memorabilia. This machine does a lot and is completely ready to use! The machine dual boots into OS 9.2.2 and OS X 10.3 and loads Windows! It can even browse vintage websites like its 1999! Mac Chic has spent hundreds of hours bringing these machines back to life and we truly want you to have a fantastic trip down memory lane and enjoy the vintage computing experience!
An easy to understand user manual with pictures that explains how to operate all the functions of the machine and run everything that is included. The machine has lots of excellent applications and you can easily transport documents from the computer to any modern machine with a standard USB thumb drive and even google drive can open the document files! There is also a bootable backup partition with a full backup of the entire machine and all of the software so you can always bring the machine back to the original state when it was shipped.
The machine is capable of playing andimportingCDs through iTunes so get ready to start mixing up your favorite playlists! If you were more of a Winamp person, rest assured that is also on the machine.
This iBook even connects to the internet through the ethernet port and the airport wi-fi card which is included! (but you will need to setup your router to work with the older technology, which I can help with) I have programmed Netscape Navigator to connect to the PROTOWEB which is a vintage web-server that hosts 1000s of vintage websites that completely recreate the experience of surfing the web in the 90s and early 00s. This is something you have to see to believe. It's wild to browse old school websites. It really immerses you in the era.
The Logitech F310 gamepad drivers have been installed and ready to use, it is a top notch modern gamepad that works wonderfully with vintage Macs and Windows 98 and works in many games. Late 90s early 00s computer gaming was predominately designed for the keyboard but some games are much easier to play with the gamepad so of course we included one!
Mac Chic makes these machines to rekindle that feeling of vintage computing, so a majority of the focus is on the OS 9 side of things, however, you can launch most of the OS 9 software in OS X if that is what you prefer. We are constantly upgrading the capability of these machines and the listings will be updated as time goes on.
*** READ: This is a fantastically restored and maxed out iBook Clamshell G3 with years of fun installed and ready to go. The case is in good condition but when you get closer you can see that it has some minor wear on it from regular use.
