COMPATIBILITYThe AD-5690H drive itself fits iMac 21.5" A1311 and 27" A1312, roughly Late 2009 through Mid 2011, and interchanges with Apple part 661-5978.
The included 593-1038 cable is the 27" A1312 optical cable. If you are working on a 21.5" A1311 the drive will fit but that machine uses a different cable, so check yours before ordering.
