Refurbished and Customized Creality Ender 3 S1 3D Printer by Trinity Custom Technologies, LLC. Unit was completelydisassembled,cleaned, with each part examined and replace if found worn, then the unit was reassembled under exactingstandards with a host ofcustom and enhanced parts. The unit was then tested, calibrated, and then tested again to verifybest operation.
During assembly, all parts were verified to be mounted square and all bolts were properly torqued.
List of Modifications:1. New Ender 3 S1 Control (Creality CR4N520014C13) loaded with Creality latestfirmware.2. Hotend Extruder upgraded to Ender 3 S1 Pro All Metal "Sprite" Extruder.3. CR Touch Auto Leveling system added to unit.4. Hotend nozzle replaced with Micro Swiss Plated Brass nozzle.5. Stock Fan Duct replaced with 360 airflow design fan duct.6. Dual Z-Axis Frame Braces added to unit.7. Stocked Spool holder replaced by Roller style spool holder with built in filament scale connected to Raspberry Pi/OctoPrint system.8. Power On-Off switch replaced with On-Off-Auto power switch system.9. Bubble Level to verify printer is setting level.10. Tool guide added to Storage Drawer to keep tools and small supplies organized.11. Replaced Z-Axis Stepper Motor couplings for better Z-Axis operation.12. Custom Yellow Cable Chain Guides for X-Axis cartage, Hot End, and Y-Axis Print Bed cables.13. Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4 GB with OctoPrint Command and Control software loaded installed in custom Control Display case. Includes 5 MP Camera, Mount, and ring lighting.
Calibration:
A three step calibration process was used to calibrate the Ender 3 S1. First a 20 mm cube is printed with the defaultSteps per mm settings.The measured dimensions of the cube are entered in to a spreadsheet which computes a set oftrial Steps per mm settings. Then a 100 mmCalibration model is printed. Again, the measured dimensions are enteredin to the spreadsheet which computes a refined set ofSteps per mm settings. A third 100 mm Calibration model isprinted and measured to verify the settings.
Using Inland PLA+ Filament printed at 210º C and bed surface temp of 50º C. X-Axis 100 mm printed at 100.00 mm Y-Axis 100 mm printed at 99.98 mm Z-Axis 100 mm printed at 100.06 mm
Extruder: A run of 100 mm of filament used 100 mm of filament.Testing:
Initial testing was performed to verified correct operation of all there axis stepper motors, end stops, extruder, Auto Off switch system, cooling fans, filament sensor, and filament scale. Then the unit was calibrated.
After calibration, the unit was tested for 50 hours of operation printing multiple patterns from both the SD Card and OctoPrint Control system to verify correct operation.OctoPrint Command and Control System:
By using a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B dedicated computer connected to your 3D Printer by a USB Cable, the OctoPrint system provides a web page interface to your printer. Through this interface, you can upload print files, start and stop print operations, verify printer operation, and provide status information including video. This greatly simplifies the control and operation of your 3D Printer.
