To keep it from coming loose in transit, the graphics card is removed and packed separately in the same box. Reinstalling takes a couple of minutes: seat it in the top PCIe x16 slot, secure the bracket screw, and plug in the 8-pin PCIe power cable from the power supply.
The Ryzen 5 5500 has no integrated graphics, so the graphics card must be installed to get a picture. Connect your monitor to the graphics card, not the video ports on the motherboard.
