Here is a 12" monochrome terminal monitor made for Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC) in late 1986. It is a VT220 which displays amber text. There is a handle underneath for raising the back for a different viewing angle on the desk.
When powered on, it displays a keyboard error unless a DEC LK201 or:LK401 keyboard is connected to the RJ11 port in the back. The brightness and contrast controls are still working. However, it is easy to see text that has burned in to the screen. There is no broken plastic, and it has not yellowed much at all. I have not opened up the case.
