Dc to Dc converter kit with Din AC adapter
Unused, originally without packaging, and all cabling included for the mATX internal dc dc converter install. Recommendation: It can fit an ITX case, but recommended for mATX case with an ITX motherboard to have the remaining standoffs to screw in a sheet metal mesh for mounting the converter board. (I can provide an angled stub sheet mesh to use 4 screw standoffs, which I can include as well, and a nut for each.)
For passive cooling only, recommend using one (1) 5 volt fan less than 0.28 amps, as opposed to 12 volt case fan. Recommend the usb header cable adapter sold in cooler guys website. (Not included with sale) Low power processing ideally from modern intel processors model names ending with “T” are recommended. 120Gb SSD nvme, passive heat sink, is ideal for a passive cooling pc build. (Neither are included with sale, they are only suggestions)
4 pin mini din male to 5.5 to 2.1 barrel cable by “tycoon systems” recommended to purchase separately, to use with a circular panel mount to screw on your mATX psu backplate. (I include circular panel mount with screws, and mATX psu backplate for circular panel mount, as well. But I do not include the mini din to barrel adapter cable, please purchase from tycoon systems, or to any online merchant of choice)
New Din mini 4 pin AC Adapter is included with this dc to dc converter kit, 2 prong US outlet cable is included, as well as a 3 prong cable. If setting up individual system is with multiple ac adapters on din rail HTPC setup with proper grounding that keeps multiple power supplies grounded. (For Din rail systems know what you are doing with ground cabling, typically of equal or greater gage size diameter in contrast to internal cable thickness, approach with caution) If your motherboard uses barrel tip ac adapter, this ac adapter is not for you, as it is a Din mini 4-pin tip, so if you do not know what a Din mini 4-pin connector is, stay tied for more photos.
AC Adapter name brand works with the dc dc converter, has a small fan similar to high efficiency power adapters, inside. (example Xbox with the fans inside its power adapter, for cooling from humming produced when playing console) That said, the ac adapter might make noise, something to consider if wanting a quiet room.
108 watts max, 90% efficiency, 2.5Amp input, 12V AC line regulated at 10% (tolerance plus minus 5% for added safety voltage regulation from going past peak efficiency) Peak efficiency is 85%, and from a 12V input the out of 20 volts at 7.5 amps max holds the lower 85% efficiency no more than 108 watts to avoid inefficiency at 80%***CAUTION***(past the allowable tolerance to maintain high efficiency on the system and resulting in a 105% power draw, of which 25% would dangerously be drawn directly from the AC outlet compensating the 80% inefficiency due to watts load past 108 watts limit, so beware and stay under 108 watts and not to be mistaken by the AC adapter wattage because its intended application is with the model dc dc converter board sold.12v supplied from the outlet to the power adapter holds a high efficiency rating with the respective higher voltage output found on the power adapter, within tolerance efficiency to shut off the power in case of unsafe wattage past efficiency limit to avoid overheating ac adapter and components of the 12 volt ITX system build, unnecessarily. So please observe the wattage from the dc dc converter board at 12 volts, 10 amps maximum, at maximum 90% efficiency no more than 108 watts only. Not 120 watts! And not 144 watts!)Good luck.
