These LB406S 400GB SLC SSDs are in excellent condition with 97-98% SLC Flash Health Remaining and 100% Performance!
Each SSD has 97-98% of overall flash health remaining, zero reallocated sectors or errors of any kind, and performs at or above rated specifications.Most SSDs we tested showed performance closer to the500MB/s / 375MB/sRead / Writemarkers, which is above the rated420MB/s / 350MB/s Read / Writespeeds. 6Gbps SAS tops out around 550MB/s per lane (with 4 or 8 lane controllers commonly used), so these SSDs are still incredibly useful in 6Gbps SAS systems and RAID arrays.They have been used as cache drives in a high-end system that is in the process of being upgraded and the97-98% healthremaining on each is proof that the endurance of SLC flash is indeed off the charts! Each SSD has zero SMART errors of any kind, was three-pass wiped and is ready to be installed in a new system right out of the box. These SLC SSDs have endurance ratings that outperform Samsung Pro and enterprise MLC by a factor of 10 or more (!) and the original manufacturer warranty simply specified ">5 years" with"unlimited read AND write endurance". Pretty great!
We've been using them for months since our first test samples and they perform flawlessly. Each SLC SSD is dual-ported 6Gbps SAS full duplex and can be placed in flexible usage scenarios (i.e. simple RAID1 boot drive, larger RAID6 for speed and capacity, JBODs, DAS and NAS appliances, direct cache drives, etc). These SSD models are very hard to find (SLC Flash paved the way for MLC, eMLC, TLC and now QLC models) so we tried to explain the benefits of this technology (write-intensive SLC Flash) as clearly as possible in the details as well as the photos.
Best used in RAID 1 configurations - tests show nearly perfect performance scaling with RAID1. In RAID10 the performance goes up but not as much as double RAID1.
Please see photos of actual SSDs - they are LIGHTNING FAST and have the only unlimited endurance warranty in the industry. SLC flash is rated for 100,000 full write cycles or more, equal to 40PBW lifetime endurance in these 400GB SLC SSDs! It's literally impossible to use up all the flash endurance but one can try of course :)
