This Emerson Avocent SV 4-Port Dual-Head HDMI KVM Switch (SV340H) is an ideal solution for those who need to control multiple computers with one keyboard, mouse, and dual monitors. With four ports, you can easily switch between devices without the need for additional cables or hardware.
These units were used for a bi-annual small event that required the main image to go to the large screen and the notes to go to a small downstage monitor. Each computer had dual display outputs. One USB keyboard and mouse controlled all computers. A wireless remote also controlled all computers. Only the selected computer went to live screen and was controlled by the presenter. The graphics tech had local control of the other computers.In addition to dual HDMI ports, the unit has a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 port. Analog audio can be switched. This unit does NOT convert digital (HDMI) audio to analog output.
