Fujitsu FM TOWNS Video Card FMT-412 – Working Perfectly

Up for sale is a genuine original Fujitsu FMT-412 video card, pulled from my personal FM Towns collection.

This is the official video expansion card for the Fujitsu FM Towns series (compatible with most desktop models including early Towns and Towns II systems). It adds or replaces video output with a clean analog VGA connector, making it much easier to connect to modern or period VGA monitors.

  • Resolutions from 320×200 up to 720×512 (and higher modes like 640×480 / 768×512 on later models)

  • Multiple graphics planes (often 2 layers) with hardware sprite support (up to 1024 sprites of 16×16)
  • Scan rates: Supports 15kHz (low-res arcade-style modes), 24kHz (text/DOS), and 31kHz (high-res 640×480 modes)
• Designed specifically for the FM Towns custom graphics chipset
• Plug-and-play in a properly configured FM Towns system (no additional drivers needed)
