What is NOT included

HPE Smart Storage Battery / capacitor pack is not included. HPE never shipped one inside this kit. You need one (for example 727258-B21, spare 815983-001) for flash-backed write caching if your server does not already have it.

Fitment

This is the DL360 Gen9 specific option. The P840 is a full height card and goes in the primary riser slot of a DL360 Gen9; HPE's own cable matrix directs DL360 Gen9 buyers to this kit because it contains the required cables. The P840 itself is a standard full height PCIe card supported in a range of HPE ProLiant Gen9 servers, but the cables in this kit are the DL360 Gen9 ones. Please confirm compatibility with your own server before buying.

Condition

Open box. Tested and working: installed in a server, detected by the host and initialised normally with the 4GB cache module recognised. Cosmetically clean, the card was still sealed in its anti-static bag, gold-finger edge connector and both internal mini-SAS ports undamaged, bracket straight.
