Cosmetic Condition:Exceptionally clean, well-preserved cosmetic condition. No severe scuffs, yellowing, or deep scratches. Plastics look crisp and excellent. Slight corner edge wear (see photos for closeup views). Keyboard is exceptional for the age.Functional Condition:

• Power & Boot:AC Adapter powers on the unit immediately. Runs the internal Windows CE demo smoothly.
• Screen & Backlight: Display is sharp with no dead lines. The built-in backlight function button turns on and works beautifully for low-light viewing.
• Keyboard & Audio: Every single key functions properly. The internal speaker has clear sound.
• Batteries: Brand new CR2032 backup battery has been installed to preserve your data during main battery swaps. The vintage rechargeable AA battery cells are flat and no longer hold a charge (not included). However, the unit runs perfectly using standard, readily available AA alkaline (installed) or modern NiMH rechargeable batteries, as well as the included wall charger.

⚠️ IMPORTANT BATTERY CONFIGURATION NOTE FOR THE BUYER:

• Current Setup: The device is currently configured to run safely on standard AA Alkaline batteries.
• Safe AC Adapter Use: You can safely plug in the included F1218A AC wall adapter while Alkaline AA batteries are inside the unit. The device automatically switches to wall power and will not attempt to charge the Alkaline batteries.
• Warning: Do NOT change the Windows CE Power Control Panel setting back to "Rechargeable" unless you have specifically removed the Alkaline batteries and replaced them with dedicated rechargeable NiMH/NiCd cells. Attempting to charge standard Alkaline batteries can cause them to leak and ruin this pristine device.
