The IBM PCIe2 4-Port 1 GbE Adapter (Feature Code 5899, CCIN 576F) is a full-height, second-generation PCIe network adapter designed for IBM Power Systems servers. It provides four independent Gigabit Ethernet ports over copper RJ45 connectors and is based on the Broadcom BCM5719 controller chipset. Each port is configurable for 1000 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 10 Mbps operation, supporting auto-negotiation and full-duplex mode. This adapter is electronically identical to FC 5260 (the low-profile variant) — the FC 5899 feature code denotes the full-height tail stock.
