Server came out of local county government agency and originally had Quadrant Information Security Software installed. This has been removed with installation of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS installed on the drives. The unit boots up to Ubuntu Desktop when doing a one time boot for it, but it won\'t boot up to Ubuntu automatically (removed all options other than ubuntu on the boot options). I am leaving this as is for the purposes of removing any previous data. Also, when shutting down the unit via Ubuntu option (upper right corner), the server attempts to shut down but instead reboots. I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds to get it to shut down entirely. Unit is in great condition and is in Grade A condition. IBM DDR3 memory is compatibility tested and tuned for optimal System x performance and throughput. IBM memory specifications are integrated into the light path diagnostics for immediate system performance response and optimum system uptime. From a service and support standpoint, IBM memory automatically assumes the IBM system warranty, and IBM provides service and support worldwide.The server has 18 DIMM slots. When one processor is installed, then only nine DIMM slots can be used. When two processors are installed, then all 18 DIMM slots can be used. However, the maximum amount of DIMMs that can be installed is also limited by the type and rank of DIMM used, as follows:
  • RDIMMs
    • Up to 18 single-rank RDIMMs (nine per processor) for a maximum of 72 GB (18x 4 GB)
    • Up to 18 dual-rank RDIMMs (nine per processor) for a maximum of 288 GB (18x 16 GB)
    • Up to 12 quad-rank RDIMMs (six per processor) for a maximum of 192 GB (12x 16 GB)
  • UDIMMs
    • Up to 12 dual-rank UDIMMs (six per processor) for a maximum of 48 GB (12x 4 GB)
