How to clone.
1.) Place HDClone 4.0 CD in DVD drive and power down computer.
2.) Press in the red colored HD power button number four (4) to allow power to the DiamondMax hard drive when the computer is turned back on.
3.) Once HDClone has booted choose to Clone the hard drives, it will then search for connected hard drives and display them for you. (Be patient)
4.) If your needing to just clone the Primary hard drive (CF card) to the Secondaryhard drive because you have installed a lot of new software then choose the CF card as your SOURCE and the DiamondMax as the TARGET. Then press next as many times as necessary to initiatethe copying process. Whenever asked always select AUTOMATICALLY. NOTE: Reverse the SOURCE and TARGET drive options if you are performing a cloned backup from the DiamondMax to the CF card because Windows98SE has experiencedan unrecoverable corruption on the CF card. (This is also called: The Blue Screen of Death)
5.) When finished, remove the HDClone Cd from the DVD drive and power off the computer. Next press button 4 on the HD power switch on the back of the computer to prevent power from reaching the DiamondMax HD. That'sit your done....unless....UNLESS.... you really want to run on that old DiamondMax platter drive just for a bit to hear and feel the nostalgia. In this case depress button 1 so it pops outwardto prevent power from reaching the CF card while leaving button 4 depressed inward. Turn on the computer and relive your past but just remember that is a very old hard drive so please get back to using that CF card as soon as you can. :)
NOTE: The Monitor is NOT included in this listing. Janes Longbow Anthologywas shown to prove this computer will run 3dfx games but is not included unless you request it as one of the twelve games your wanting me to re-install on this computer.
Both the L1 and L2 cache can be disabled in the BIOS to reduce this computers processing power and speed down to a 386 era motherboard.
