I plugged the drive in and tried inserting a cleaning tape. The drive powers on, but it does not appear to run/load the cleaning tape properly. I do not know much about these drives and did not have an actual LTO-8 data tape available for further testing.
Because I cannot fully test it and am unsure of its condition, I am selling it strictly for parts or repair.
