IBM Vintage Keyboard RARE Quiet Touch 1995 Model M 71G4644 PS/2 Tested
Price: US $39.97
Here is a vintage RARE IBM Quiet Touch Keyboard for those who love the feel and dependability of the IBM class of keyboards. Instead of springs in the other models that give the "clicky" sound, this model uses rubber domes. It still gives a firm bump feel while typing but not as noisy.
See test pic for all keys tested. The cord has a bad rubber coating that has peeled off. It still works. You can replace the cord or cover it with tape.
IBM Model M 1995 Part No. 71G4644
Cord is functional but this is a PS/2 connection that requires an adapter to convert to a USB connection.
Note: To run this on new computers you need an adapter. A simple PS/2 Convertor is not adequate! The keyboard requires a special adapter such as the Soarer's Converter found here on . That unit contains the electronics necessary for this older keyboard to be recognized.
Used but in good condition other than the cord. I cleaned it the best I could and blew out the dust. Tested and works just fine.
