About the hours. These are decommissioned data-center drives, so the power-on hours are high — that is normal for this class of hardware and is stated up front so there are no surprises. The number that predicts remaining life on an enterprise SSD is percentage used and data written against rated endurance, not hours. At 4% used with 100% spare and zero media errors, these have the large majority of their write life ahead of them.
