Product descriptionCaution when using the LGA1700

The mounting kit makes it possible to install the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III & Liquid Freezer III Pro on LGA1700 sockets even without the included ARCTIC Contact Frame. However, this is not recommended. Intel’s Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM) can deform the CPU by pressing it into the socket at two points with over 40 kg. With high thermal loads, this can lead to problems and reduced cooling performance in the long term. Therefore, we recommend using the included Contact Frame for all Liquid Freezer III & Liquid Freezer III Pro models.
